Explore the Marincel Family Farm
On Saturday August 3, 2013, the Marincel Family Farm will host the Annual Dairy Day festivities from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. This is the third “Dairy Day on the Farm” event hosted by the Marincel family.
The Marincel Family Farm is located on 400 acres in the township of Mason, and has a history of more than 100 years. In 1907, Steve Marincel came to America on a ship from Croatia. After working various jobs in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan, he managed to purchase 20 acres of land in the Mason area with his earnings. Since the 1900s, the farm has been greatly expanded and the Marincel family tradition continues on. The farm is currently run by Bill and Denise Marincel, along with their children and grandchildren.
Dairy Days will feature opportunities to view and learn about farm machinery, tour the barn, see the cows and calves and visit with friends and neighbors. A free pig roast luncheon will also be offered, courtesy of the Sanborn Methodist Church. Other food items include dairy products such as ice cream, cheese and milk.
The Marincel Family Farm is located at 65880 Curry Road in Mason.
